Mission
People with physical or mental challenges are often at risk because of lack of services, family support, or connection to services. Such inequalities put them at a greater risk for abuse, neglect, exploitation, and violation of their basic human rights.
Our mission is to bridge the gap in direct service to individuals with these challenges, providing them with a sound source of advocacy and immediate action.
At ConnectABILITIES, we are dedicated to serving challenged persons in Orleans County by acting as mediators of services available and advocating for needed resources.
Vision
At ConnectABILITIES we envision a society that embraces physically and mentally challenged people with dignity and responsible advocacy. We serve with compassion and understanding, while consciously devoting our efforts to ensuring each partner understands their worthiness as members of society and that their contributions matter.

Advocates needed!
We have a waiting list of members who are waiting to be matched with a community volunteer Advocate. This is similar to a Big Brothers/Big Sisters type of program. You will be matched with someone with whom you feel comfortable developing a one to one friendship. Everyone needs a friend: someone to confide in, to have fun with, to help navigate the difficult things involved in living an adult life in the community.
